a huge attic with bright natural light that became the master bedroom
Bedroom
in the Attic
My client (parents of young children) decided to transform the attic into their new bedroom. The challenge was to include several different functions (sleep, sport, work, dress up and storage) into a substantial space full of columns and different heights.
Originally a cold environment, with many geometric shapes. The idea with the colors and materials was to bring more comfort and make the room more intimate, taking into account the customer's chromatic preference.
Moodboard
Layout
With two doors and a large interior space, the room had great potential. However, the columns and roof slopes limited the options. I also had to consider in the layout the client's desire not to see his bed at the entrance to the room, hide the gym equipment and visually separate the bed and the work area. With the use of cabinets as dividers, room dividers and creativity, we designed a functional and above all pleasant space..
